- Permissions granted — Record of which features you've authorized us to access (profile, bookmarks)
Note: Authentication credentials are stored securely on our servers and are never exposed to your browser or third parties.
2.4 Quran Reading and Bookmark Data
We store your Quran study data:
- Bookmarks — Verses you save, including:
- Surah and verse references
- Arabic text and translations
- When the bookmark was created
2.5 Focus Session Data
To help you track your productivity:

Note: Focus session history is stored locally in your browser and not sent to our servers.

When you sign in with Quran.com, we sync your bookmarks bidirectionally:
- Import: Your existing Quran.com bookmarks are brought into Barakah Breaks
- Export: Bookmarks you create in Barakah Breaks are sent to your Quran.com account
- Keep in sync: Changes and deletions are reflected on both platforms

When you connect your Quran.com account, we share bookmark data with Quran Foundation to enable synchronization between the two platforms.

Quran Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are not affiliated with or controlled by Quran Foundation; we integrate with their services as an authorized third-party developer.
6.2 Service Providers
We use trusted third-party services to host and operate Barakah Breaks, including hosting, database, and infrastructure providers. These providers process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements and are prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
6.3 Legal Requirements

- Delete your account: Contact us to request full account deletion. All your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days (note: Quran.com bookmarks are managed separately and remain unaffected)
